Choctaw’s first murder in six years has police vowing to catch the killer.

Investigators say 35-year-old Eric Trammell had been shot several times, when police found his body early Tuesday morning near Northeast 36th Street and Henney Road in Choctaw.

Barbara Pointer has lived in a nearby home for thirty six years.

“It makes me uneasy. I know that the law enforcement we have here is excellent,” Pointer said. “I mean they’re right on, I really appreciate them.”

The OSBI has also joined in the investigation.
