Two men were arrested after Norman police received a report of threats made against a Norman middle school, police said.

Ryan Nathaniel Tripp, 21, and Michael Shane Mahseet, 28, were arrested in connection with the reported crime.

The reported threats were to the safety and security of Alcott Middle School.

Overnight, police pulled over two suspects in a vehicle in the area of State Highway 9 and 24th Avenue SW.

So far, investigators have not found any evidence that would make them think the two could carry out the threats.

Police conducted a sweep of the school as a precaution and increased police presence at the school and in the surrounding area throughout the day.

Tripp and Mahseet have been booked into the Cleveland County jail. Tripp was charged on one count of felony terrorism hoax. Mahseet was charged on a misdemeanor count of obstruction.
