New developments have been released in connection to a double murder that's gone unsolved until now.

A Cleveland County inmate is admitting to the crimes, four months after two men were gunned down on the outskirts of northwest Oklahoma City.

Ronnie Lewis Miller III, is no stranger to the law. He was jailed in March following a shootout with Norman Police that was captured on police body cam.

Miller spent the next several weeks hospitalized and was later jailed.

Then after months behind bars, court documents reveal Miller reached out to police in June to talk about an unrelated crime.

In a possible effort to clear his conscience, Miller admitted to shooting and killing Shaun Ruddle and Cody Early back in March.

While the exact nature of their relationship is still unclear, Miller told detectives he planned on stealing drugs and money from one of the victims. He said he shot them both in the head after one of them made fun of him.

Their bodies were discovered inside an SUV after it crashed into a neighborhood mailbox.

Miller left the scene, but in a hand-written document he detailed his plans to dispose of the bodies.

The letter read, "I had planned to get back to the city and burn the bodies by blowing up the car,” Miller said. "I feel like I'm a monster, I would kill again."
