A second man was arrested and charged in connection with the livestock theft in Payne County, the district attorney said in a statement.

Cody Joseph Porter, 32, was arrested by state agriculture department agents on Tuesday in Owasso.

He is accused of stealing a farm truck, a 24-foot stock trailer, 38 Angora goats and two sheep on July 3 from Langston University's goat research center.

Porter and Michael Demaro were found on July 5 in Pottawatomie County. Demaro was arrested but Porter managed to get away which spurred a manhunt

Porter was charged in Payne County on six counts; larceny of implements of husbandry, larceny of livestock, burglary in the second degree, cruelty to animals, knowingly concealing stolen property and pattern of criminal activity.

His bond was set at $100,000.
