A quick-acting Oklahoma City police officer stopped a potentially dangerous situation. He managed to hold four metro teens at bay until backup arrived.

The tense moments were captured on his body-worn camera.

The officer was patrolling near Southwest 9th and Barnes Avenue when he spotted an unusually parked car and four teens.

Officer: “Get down! Don’t move! You got a gun on you? Lay down.”

Abraham Olmos, 16 was the only teen not in the car. Police said the officer noticed the butt of a gun sticking out the back of his pants and ordered him to the ground.

Teen: “Can I please ask to know what I did?”

Officer: “Sit still, I’ll explain in a minute.”

The officer held the teen at gunpoint while making sure his friends did not take off in the car or possibly pull a weapon.

Officer: “Put both your hands out that window!”

Police learned Saul Diaz, 15, Alan Diaz, 19, and Mark Rodriguez, 18, were unarmed; but found a large amount of marijuana and money, possibly drug proceeds, in the car.

Police said the gun on Olmos was reported stolen from an Edmond apartment last October. The gun belonged to a University of Central Oklahoma student.

Officer: “You have a gun on you. I’m going to handcuff you and then nobody’s going to get hurt. You understand that? I don’t want to get hurt, do you?”

A number of officers responded to the scene and ordered the teens out the car one at a time.

Officer: “Keep walking, keep walking. Take one step to your left.”

All four were arrested on felony complaints and booked into jail.

Teen: “What did I do man?”

Officer: “You have a gun that’s what you did.”
