ESPN: Paul George Will Opt Out Of Final Year With Thunder

ESPN sources announced Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George has informed the OKC Thunder he is not opting into his final year of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted the report early Thursday morning.

Paul George has until 11:59 p.m. ET Friday to formally decline to opt in.

Several teams are interested in George, including the Los Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Houston Rockets. According to ESPN, George is eligible to sign a five-year, $176 million contract extension this summer with Thunder.
