Court documents describe the gory details of a murder that took place last Saturday morning at a homeless camp near downtown Oklahoma City.
Nathan Wise, 33 admitted to police he kicked the victim, then struck him at least twice in the face with a metal pole near South Western and West Sheridan Avenue. That area is currently dominated by construction, and homeless people.
Around eight last Saturday morning, somebody flagged down police, because there was a dead body next to the road, officials said.
"Upon further investigation detectives were able to determine that there was an altercation that occurred by the victim, and another person at the scene," said Oklahoma city Police officer Gary Knight.
Wise was of several people questioned by police. He explained that he sucker-kicked the victim in the face. Then picked up some sort of busted metal pole with a junction box attached to it. Police said Wise struck the victim with such force that a junction box that had been attached to the metal pole sheared off.
Wise advised authorities that he left the area and went and smoked methamphetamine before returning to the camp and going to sleep.
Police said Wise had blood all over his shoes and jeans, and he said he was mad the other man hadn't left the area when told to.
Wise is being held without bond in the Oklahoma County Jail.
