Footage Shows Suspect Breaking Into Car Outside Of Metro Business
OKLAHOMA CITY - Investigators are hoping someone will recognize the man caught on camera breaking into a car outside of a business in broad daylights.
The burglary took place around 6:43 p.m. The suspect walks into frame just 13 minutes after the store manager left Sunday morning.
The suspect looks into OKC Kayak and then over to the Jeep. After scoping out the vehicle you see him pick up a rock near the sidewalk, and then he launches it at Guy Peery's parked vehicle.
He dives through the glass and digs around for a few minutes. The top half of his body in and his feet off the ground.
Peery said the suspect only took his prescription glasses, but then dumped them on the property.
The rock did about $1,000 worth of damage to the Jeep.
Not completely surprised a place in this part of downtown was targeted, Peery said he'll remain vigilant, and hopes the person responsible is caught.
"There's a lot of businesses around here they don't need to have scare off customers because of the fact that somebody's out there trying to break into cars," said Peery.
Not even 24 hours after this, Peery said a second vehicle of his was hit, with a rock thru the window.
