Fried Peach Pie

  • 1 Large can peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1/2 tsp   vanilla
  • 1/2  tsp each  cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 pats butter 
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuits, large size
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Canola oil

  1. Mash or break up large peaches with fork or potato masher.
  2. Mix all ingredients in sauce pan and cook until thickened.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Use frozen or canned biscuits for crust. (I use large Grands)
  5. Roll thawed biscuits on floured surface, very thin and in a circle.
  6. Spoon filling onto crust.  Fold over and seal with fork.  
  7. Cook in deep hot oil until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with powdered sugar icing when cool. 

Mix peaches with a can apricots for more tart taste.  Adjust additives. Or use cherry pie filling for cherry pie.
