Fancy Bacon for Mom

  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place the thick sliced bacon onto the baking sheet lengthwise.
  4. In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, maple syrup, instant coffee and cocoa powder until it is well mixed.
  5. Using a pastry brush, brush each of bacon slices with the glaze.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes and then remove from oven and flip over the bacon and brush the other side with glaze.
  7. Continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  8. Make sure and watch that is does not burn.
  9. Remove from the oven and place on a fresh piece of parchment paper to drain.
  10. Serve!
