OKLAHOMA CITY -

A member of the first family will visit Oklahoma City Wednesday.

Donald Trump Jr. is here campaigning for Lt. Governor Todd Lamb. President Trump's oldest son is expected to be in Oklahoma City for an event and fundraiser for Lamb's campaign for Governor. According to a media invite from the Lamb's campaign, the event will be held at the Renaissance Waterford Hotel near Northwest 63rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

This isn't Trump's first visit to Oklahoma and it's not even his first event with Lt. Gov. Lamb. In 2016 the President's oldest son attended the annual Oklahoma Department of Commerce Turkey Hunt as a guest of Lamb's.

In a statement Lamb said the two forged a relationship during the turkey hunt. Trump Jr. said, "I was impressed with his deep knowledge of both federal and state issues, particularly issues related to commerce and the economy."

Lamb is currently tied in the polls with Kevin Stitt, both showing 19% support.

While the event is open to the public starting at noon there is a closed VIP reception beforehand at 11:30 a.m.. Trump Jr. and Lamb are scheduled to make remarks starting at 12:30. p.m.
