Ham & Bean Soup

  • 6 cups unsalted chicken stock
  • 3 cans Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • Ham bone
  1. Sautee the garlic, onion, carrots and celery with the fresh thyme till veggies are tender.
  2. Pour in the chicken stock and add in the ham bone as well as the chopped ham.
  3. Stir in the beans.
  4. Simmer for 20-30 minutes or until warmed through.
  5. Serve with your favorite crusty bread or with cornbread!
