Multi-Purpose Baking Mix
- 9 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup baking powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 2 cups shortening
**add 1 cup non-fat dry milk or just use milk in your recipe in lieu of water
- Add all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Stir together to thoroughly combined.
- Then place half of the dry mixture in a food processor and one cup of shortening and pulse until the shortening is blended into the flour mixture completely.
- Place the baking mix in a large gallon size Ziploc bag.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Store baking mix for up to 6 months in the pantry.
