Crews Battle Grass Fire Along I-240 In South OKC

Crews are working to get a handle on a grass fire that flared up along Interstate 240 on the south side of the metro, Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene near I-240 and S. Eastern Avenue. The fire has consumed approximately five acres of land so far. No word yet on if any structures are being threatened.

Authorities are asking drivers to use caution in the area.
