Crews were at the scene of a house fire Tuesday night in southwest Oklahoma City.

According to reports, firefighters were on scene shortly before 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of SW 48 Street.

The home was vacant and neighbors said homeless people stay in the home from time to time.

The fire began in a back room which was an add-on to the original structure. The fire spread from the back room to the attic.

Firefighters determined the estimated loss as $23,750 out of the $47,500 home value.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated but they suspect it was caused by homeless activity.
