Kids who have parents in prison are going to have a happy Christmas, thanks to the community.

Over the past few weeks, the Little Light Christian School has hosted a toy drive for its students. The school partnered with the House Law Firm and Rhone-Evans Events for this initiative.

“Incarceration continues to be an overwhelming obstacle facing many Oklahoma families,” said Little Light’s principal and founder Robin Khoury. “Toys and games are a big part of the therapy we provide at Little Light. We are thrilled that local community leaders have taken an interest in helping at-risk children this Christmas.”

The tuition-free school caters to children ages Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Toys will be accepted at the House Law Group at 527 NW 23rd Street through Friday, Dec. 22 at 5 p.m.

Suggested donations include puzzles, arts and crafts, educational toys, sports equipment, and classroom supplies. The school asks donors not to give play food, Barbies or anything that represents negativity.
