Three people were arrested and an officer was injured early Friday after traffic stop in Warr Acres, police said.

Officers initiated a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation about 4:30 a.m. in the 5900 block of Northwest Expressway.

Police said a male passenger ran away from the scene when officers realized the vehicle had been stolen.

An officer tried to chase after the passenger at the same time as when the department's K-9 was also released to chase the passenger. The K-9 bit the officer in the arm.

The officer was taken to a local hospital to be treated and is expected to be OK, Warr Acres police said.

Police arrested one male and two females at the scene of the traffic stop. The passenger is still on the run.

Oklahoma City police assisted Warr Acres with the search.

No names were released as of Friday morning.
