Kathy’s Nutty Turtles

Ingredients:

  • 1 Can whole cashews
  • 1 Can Virginia peanuts
  • 2 Cups whole almonds, roughly chopped
  • 1 lb. 14 ounces Ghirardelli dark chocolate candy melts
  • 2 Cups milk chocolate chips
  • Caramel candies, cut in half
  • Mini baking cups

Directions:

  1. Place all of the nuts in a slow cooker.
  2. Pour the chocolate chips and candy melts over the top of the nuts.
  3. Turn the slow cooker on to LOW and cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Stir together and continue to cook till chocolate is completely melted. This should only take about 45 minutes.
  5. Line a mini muffin tin with baking cups.
  6. Place 1/2 a caramel in the bottom of each cup.
  7. Use a cookie scoop to spoon the warm chocolate nut mixture into each cup.
  8. Put the muffin tin into the freezer for 5-10 minutes to set up.
  9. Place nut cups in an airtight container to store.
