Injury Crash Shuts Down EB I-44 Near I-40 In SW OKC

All lanes of the eastbound Interstate 44 were briefly shut down just to the south of the Interstate 40 interchange, due to an injury crash, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred on the EB I-44 bridge over the Oklahoma river.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. An ambulance was requested at the scene but there were no serious injuries reported.

Crews were able to work quickly and limited the complete closure to approximately 12 minutes.
