Police responded to a burglary at a Choctaw home early Tuesday morning, surprising the suspect in a compromising position.

According to police, the homeowner called 911 after a white male wearing a hoodie, identified as Nicholas Mark Johnson, came to her back door and tried to get into her house.

Police said the homeowner opened the blinds to look outside and Johnson asked her if she had a bathroom.  The homeowner replied ‘no’ and went to retrieve a firearm. According to report, after retrieving the gun, the homeowner heard an alarm go off to the guest house.

After arriving on the scene, the homeowner appeared to be very scared and believed the suspect was in their guest house, police said.

According to report, the door to the guest house was unlocked. As officers approached the far end of the house they saw Johnson with his pants down, defecating in a trash can. Police said they allowed Johnson to clean up and then handcuffed him and placed him in a police car.

Police said Johnson had no ID on him and provided a false identity when asked what his name was.

A red Dodge truck was found parked behind a barn directly behind the guest house.  Lamps, a saddle and other property stolen from the homeowner were easily visible from inside of the truck, police said.

Johnson’s identity was discovered through the vehicle registration, police said.

The stolen property was returned to the homeowner as well as some mail that was stolen from another victim.

Johnson claimed to know the homeowner’s husband, but she told police her husband has been dead for 12 years.

Johnson was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of second-degree burglary.
