Suspect Arrested Following Brief Pursuit In NW OKC

Police have arrested a pursuit suspect after a brief chase on the northwest side of the metro, Wednesday afternoon.

Officers first reported the chase near NW 19^th Street and N. Portland Avenue, with the suspect running stop lights and hitting trash cans. The suspect led police a few blocks north, to NW 23^rd Street, where they ditched their vehicle and taking off on foot.

Authorities tell News 9 the suspect was taken into custody near NW 23^rd Street. That person has not yet been identified. It is unclear what prompted the chase.
