For the second time this month, Oklahoma kicker/punter Austin Seibert has been named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

In Oklahoma's 59-31 win over West Virginia Saturday, Seibert made a career-long 51-yard field goal, converted all eight of his extra-point attempts and registered touchbacks on eight of his nine kickoffs.

Seibert's 51-yard field goal came on the last play of the first half and represented his 11th straight conversion, which is the second longest active streak in the country. It was OU's longest field goal make since 2011.

The field goal was also the 42nd of his career, tying him for seventh in school history. He has made all 70 extra-point attempts this year, breaking Tim Lashar's program record of 66 straight to open a season without a miss.

With his 11-point performance, Seibert moved into fourth place in program history with 338 career points.

This is the fourth time in his career that Seibert has earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week recognition, tying a school record held by Antonio Perkins (2001-04) and J.T. Thatcher (1997-00).

Seibert's two honors this year are tied with Perkins in 2003 for the second most in single-season program history. The record belongs to Thatcher, who won four times in 2000.

No. 2 Oklahoma takes on No. 10 TCU in the Big 12 Championship game Saturday at 11:30 a.m. CT on FOX.
