An Oklahoma City woman was injured Thursday morning as she escaped a house fire, authorities said.

A man and woman were in a home in the 1000 block of North Holly Ave., near Northwest 10th Street and Czech Hall Road, when a fire broke out. Both people were able to escape the blaze, but the woman fell outside the home and sustained a facial injury.

The man went back in to the burning home to get his keys, and narrowly escaped injures, emergency crews said.

Two dogs were removed from the home. One was deceased, but firefighters said they were able to revive the second one.

Fire investigators said the blaze was accidental and the cause is unknown. Damage estimates are pending.
