Emergency crews responded to a crash, involving at least five vehicles, on the westbound side of Interstate 44, with a pair of vehicles catching fire.
Authorities had to shut down most of the westbound lanes of I-44, near N. May Avenue, because of the crash. Drivers were allowed to move through the area, very slowly, in one lane. Traffic was backed from the Hefner Parkway entrance all the way back to I-235.
Right now, there have been no reports of injuries. All lanes were back up and moving just after 4:30 p.m.
TAC 1: Car on fire west bound I-44, just west of May. Please stay clear of this area.
