A man with a long history of crimes is accused of exposing himself inside a northwest Oklahoma City Dollar Tree store. Carl Cannon, 46, was arrested on three complaints of indecent exposure.

Cannon was standing behind a woman and her two-year-old son in the check-out line at the store when she noticed him. She told police he had his sweatpants pulled down and his shirt up and was touching himself. She alerted the cashier and the man walked out of the store.

As he was leaving, another employee said he witnessed Cannon expose himself while he was outside.

“Thankfully the man did not approach anybody or try to harm anybody,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “But he was definitely exposing himself in a lewd manner inside the store.”

Cannon walked to a nearby McDonalds and that's where police found him. In the report, the arresting officer said when he grabbed Cannon's arm he noticed his hands were very oily. The officer found an open bottle of baby oil in the suspect's pocket and later learned it was stolen from the store.

Dollar Tree employees and the female customer also identified Cannon before he was taken to jail.

“He was taken into custody at the restaurant next door,” said Knight. “And booked into the Oklahoma County jail.”

After Cannon's arrest he told the officer he is not a pedophile but did 10 years in solitary confinement in a Texas prison. The officer also noted Cannon was not wearing underwear.

According to court documents, Cannon served time in a Texas prison for burglary and several other felonies.
