OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma breweries are making some slight adjustments to keep the doors open longer.

Right now, they have to stop serving full point beer at 9 p.m., the same time liquor stores close.

Twisted Spike at Northwest 10th is one a few breweries that will now offer 3.2% beer at starting at 9 p.m.

The owner said it’s just a temporary solution until new taproom rules take effect in October allowing for longer night time hours.

“You can't have that downtown experience and have that end at nine o'clock,” said Twisted Spike owner Bruce Sanchez.

Iron Monk Brewing in Stillwater also serves low-point beer after 9 p.m. to stay open longer at night.

Meanwhile, downtown OKC is welcoming another brewery taproom.

Prairie Artisan Ales opened its doors last week.

The company, which was started in Tulsa, hopes to have three taprooms in Oklahoma by the end of the year.
