Many voters across the state will also head to the polls Tuesday for a special election for state legislators.

Two Senate District seats and one House District seat are up for grabs. All seats were previously held by Republicans

Arguably the most controversial election Tuesday is for Senate District 45 which covers south Oklahoma City and Mustang.

The seat was recently vacated by the now former Sen. Kyle Loveless amid an ethics violation investigation

Loveless resigned in April after questions were raised about him using more than $100,000 in campaign funds for personal expenses.

Other elections include races for: State Senate District seat 37 formerly held by Dan Newberry and State House District 76 formerly held by David Brumbaugh, both of the Tulsa area.
