Record-setting performances in the highest-scoring Bedlam game ever resulted in the Oklahoma football team capturing three of the four weekly honors from the Big 12 Conference on Monday morning.

Senior Baker Mayfield was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore wide receiver Marquise Brown was recognized as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and junior kicker/punter Austin Seibert was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.

It's the first time in program history that the Sooners have had three individuals honored by the league in the same week.

Mayfield set school records for passing yards (598), passing yards in a half (387) and total offense (589) while accounting for six touchdowns (five passing) in a 62-52 win at No. 11 Oklahoma State on Saturday. The former OU record for passing yards in a game was 554 (Landry Jones in 2012).

Mayfield was 24-for-36 through the air (66.7 percent) and averaged 16.6 yards per attempt and 24.9 yards per completion. His 598 yards were the most by an FBS player this season and second most over the past three seasons, while his 240.9 passing efficiency rating in the contest ranks as the second best in school history (minimum of 25 attempts).

Since at least 1996, no FBS quarterback has thrown for as many yards with as few pass attempts (36) or pass completions (24) as Baker Mayfield's 598 Saturday. He also set an FBS single-game record with his 24.9 yards per completion (min. 22 completions). The former record was 22.9.

Brown set a school record with 265 receiving yards and hauled in touchdown catches of 84 and 77 yards against the Cowboys. He shattered the former OU record of 232 receiving yards in a game, set last year by Biletnikoff Award winner Dede Westbrook. Brown's 265 receiving yards stand as the ninth most in Big 12 single-game history.

Brown averaged 29.4 yards on his career-high nine catches and also tied an OU record for receiving yards in a half with 178 in the first. His 84-yard touchdown reception marked his second catch of at least 80 yards this season. He is the only Sooner to ever record at least two receptions of 80 or more yards in a career.

Seibert made both of his field goal attempts and all eight of his extra-point tries, punted two times for a 47.5-yard average and booted 10 of his 11 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.

His field goals came from 20 and 36 yards (tied a season long) and he ran his streak of makes to seven. Seibert's first punt was a 53-yarder from OU's 11-yard line that flipped the field and resulted in a fair catch at the OSU 36. His second punt was a 42-yarder that was downed at the OSU 3.

With his career-high-tying 14 points, Seibert moved into ninth place on OU's career scoring list with 308.

The award was the fourth of the season for Mayfield, breaking a school record of three held by Samaje Perine (2014), Adrian Peterson (2004) and Quentin Griffin (2002). Mayfield has six Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors in his career, which is good for sole possession of second place at OU.

Seibert took home his third career Special Teams honor, also winning in 2015 and 2016. That figure is third most in OU history. Brown won Newcomer of the Week for the second time this year, also doing so on Sept. 18.

Oklahoma hosts TCU in a prime time, top-10 showdown Saturday night. The Sooners and Horned Frogs kick off at 7 p.m. CT on FOX. It will mark the first meeting of top-8 teams in the AP poll in Norman since 2014.
