2-Year-Old Dies After Truck Hits Family Crossing Tulsa Street

Police say a child died after being hit by a truck while crossing the street Saturday night.

Police say a woman and her two children were crossing 71st Street near Darlington at about 9:30 p.m. when they were hit.

One of the children, a two-year-old, died at the hospital. The other child, a seven-year-old, wasn't seriously hurt, police say. The mother was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, they say.

Police have not released the identity of the mother but say she is 26. They say the driver of the truck was a 48-year-old woman. 

No arrests have been made but police say the investigation continues.
