Monday marks one year since a statewide and week-long manhunt for fugitive Michael Vance ended in a deadly shootout.

Three people accused of helping Vance are set to appear in court this week.

On Oct. 23, 2016, Vance opened fire on two Wellston police officers.

An injured Vance left the scene after police said he shot a woman and stole her car.

Police found the car in Luther, where police said Vance killed his family members, Ron and Kay Wilkson.

But Vance did not act alone.

Law officers said April Harden and Danny Roach admitted early on that they saw and helped Vance after he shot two police officers and killed two family members, and they told investigators that Reginald Moore also supplied Vance with an AK-47.

Vance was able to lay low for a week until Dewey County Sheriff Clay Sander pulled him over in a stolen truck. Authorities said Vance shot the sheriff twice.

State troopers later killed Vance in a shootout about 10 miles away.

Harden has agreed to be a witness for the prosecution in hopes of receiving a lesser sentence.
