Visitation services were held Wednesday for one of the five Northeastern State University students who was killed in a crash this weekend in Cherokee County.

Autumn Seely graduated from Salina High School last year before heading to College at NSU in Tahlequah.

"You don't want to believe the reality of it. It's something you pray no one has to go through," said Jagger Phillips, classmate.

The second friends and family heard about the accident, they couldn't believe the news.

"I was at work and I saw 'RIP' on Snapchat and I didn't know if it was a joke or not but you can't joke about something like this so I told a coworker and they said I heard there was an accident," Phillips said.

Seely was traveling with four other NSU students when their car went off a bridge in Cherokee County.

"Seeing someone go like that it's a terrible thing," Phillips said.

Friends and former teachers said Seely was compassionate towards everyone she met.

"She did not meet anyone she didn't like. She was that friendly face that always spoke to people and made everyone feel comfortable," Phillips said.

The Red Rooster cafe — where Autumn used to work — held a benefit where 100 percent of the proceeds went to her family.

"Whenever you're a local it's a heartfelt deal and the community comes together whenever there's a loss, especially like this," Phillips said.

Whether she was playing drums, riding on the back of her dad's motorcycle or spending time at work her legacy lives on through each and every one of their hearts.

"She believed what she believed and that was Autumn. She loved music, she loved people and she loved life," Phillips said. "She had such a bright future ahead of her and she went way too quick."

Seely's dad said he's just really thankful to have the support of the community.
