With less than a month away for Federal Financial Aid enrollment for college, Tulsa students are acting now.

Students partnered with Impact Tulsa for a FAFSA Summit Thursday.

They said the event is a way for students to encourage other students to go to college and get the financial help they need.

"I think it's important just because we know the students, we're obviously students ourselves, so we kind of know what students will respond to and what they need to really push themselves and get notified about the FAFSA," said Booker T. senior, Lauren Katz.

FAFSA completion rates in Tulsa jumped by 12 percent over last year thanks to programs like this.
