The Oklahoma City Zoo announced today the pregnancies of two of their animals, Asha the elephant and Mikella the gorilla, both expecting in 2018.

Asha, the 22-year-old Asian elephant, is already about eight months along in her pregnancy. This is her third pregnancy. The pregnancy of an Asian elephant lasts 22 months, meaning Asha is expected to go into labor around November 2018.

Mikella, the 13-year-old Western lowland gorilla, is around four months pregnant. This is Mikella's first pregnancy. The gestation period for Western lowland gorillas is nine months, so Mikella will deliver sometime in January 2018.
