CLEVELAND (AP) - Paul George scored 36 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder throttled the Cleveland Cavaliers 148-124 on Saturday and kept LeBron James from reaching 30,000 career points. James finished with 18 and remains seven shy of becoming the seventh player to reach 30,000. Russell Westbrook had 23 points and 20 assists and Carmelo Anthony 29 points in OKC's fourth straight win.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Trae Young scored 48 points, but missed a deep 3 at the buzzer in overtime as No. 4 Oklahoma fell to Oklahoma State 83-81. Young, a freshman guard who leads the nation in scoring, had 34 points after halftime. He matched the fifth-highest scoring effort in Sooners' history after also missing a 3-point try at the end of regulation. He shot 14 for 39 _ he was 8 for 20 on 3-pointers _ and made all 12 of his free throws.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - DaQuan Jeffries finished with career highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds to notch his first double-double and propel Tulsa to a 64-51 victory over Memphis. Jeffries connected on 8 of 15 shots, including 3 of 4 from long range, for the Golden Hurricane (11-9, 4-4 American Conference).

LA QUINTA, Calif. (AP) - Austin Cook played a six-hole stretch in 6 under and shot an 8-under 64 in breezy conditions to take the lead in the CareerBuilder Challenge. Fellow former Arkansas player Andrew Landry and Martin Piller were a stroke back, and Jon Rahm and Scott Piercy were another shot behind. Cook won at Sea Island in November for his first PGA Tour title.
