LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Racing Commission has received almost 150 comments on proposed sports betting rules for casinos, including suggestions from the athletic directors of four state universities. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that the athletic directors of Arkansas State University and three University of Arkansas campuses submitted a joint letter to the commission. The directors are seeking protections to reduce the risk of student-athlete exploitation and preserve collegiate game integrity.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Now that Kyler Murray has decided to play in the NFL instead of reporting to spring training as a first-round draft pick by baseball's Oakland Athletics, the questions can shift to the Heisman Trophy winner's height. The former Oklahoma star says everyone will get their answer at the NFL combine next week. That was after Murray listed himself at 5-foot-10 before accepting the Davey O'Brien Award as the nation's top college quarterback.
