Bixby Middle School Special Olympian Nails Half-Court Shot

One week from Wednesday, the Oklahoma Special Olympics summer games will get underway on the OSU campus.

The opening ceremonies will be next Wednesday night.

 In the meantime, the athletes have been practicing.

Even though basketball is part of the winter games and not the summer, Bixby Middle School’s Anthony Beckner can flat out shoot.

Beckner is headed to Stillwater next week where he'll compete in the softball throw, the 50-meter race and the 400-meter relay.
