Sticky Pepper Bacon/Sausage

  • Thick cut bacon
  • Breakfast sausage (cut into rounds)
  • Syrup of your choice
  • Fresh ground pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup) and put a cooling rack on the sheet.
  3. Lay bacon or sausage onto the baking rack and sprinkle with as much freshly ground pepper as you like.
  4. Put the baking sheet in the oven to cook for 15-20 minutes.
  5. The last 5 minutes of cooking time brush with your favorite syrup and continue to bake till crisp.
  6. Remove from the oven and place the bacon on a paper towel lined plate.
  7. Serve! (To make the sausage, do the same.)
