Tulsa's Holland Hall Breaks Ground For New Commons Building

Tulsa Holland Hall students and staff broke ground on a new Tandy Student Commons facility on Thursday.

School officials say the project that has been in the works for more than 15 years.

The facility will be a 50,000-square foot commons building, complete with a new dining room, a gym, a smoothie and coffee bar, conference rooms and an outdoor gathering place.

"This is a place, students can have really healthy meals, they can spend time and community together with students in other grade levels," said J.P. Culley,  Holland Hall Head of School.

Another $10-million has been raised for projects like providing students with scholarship and financial aid money. $10-million more will go to expand athletic, art, and service learning programs and yet another $10-million will go to Estate Gifts.
