Drunk Driver Knocks Pole Down Onto I-44

A power pole was felled by a drunk driver trying to merge onto southbound I-44 at NW 10th St.

Police say the driver actually dragged the pole onto the interstate before it was freed up to rest right in the middle of the road. Then, another car ended up hitting the pole and bottomed out.

I-44 was down to one lane so the scene could be cleared. There were no injuries.
