Multi-Vehicle Crash On NB I-44 Causes Traffic Troubles In NW OKC

Emergency crews were called out to a multi-vehicle crash on the northbound side of Interstate 44 in NW OKC, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities tell News 9 as many as six vehicles were involved in the crash on I-44 near NW 27th St. Two EMSA units were called to the scene and three people were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. The wreck caused heavy congestion in the area. Traffic was down to one lane in the area while crews worked the scene. The highway has since been re-opened.
