MUSTANG, Oklahoma - Crews have successfully contained a wildfire that flared up along a highway just south of the town of Mustang, Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene just off of Oklahoma Highway ,4 and to the north of the Canadian River, after 2:30 p.m.

Authorities tell News 9 the fire spread from the shoulder of the highway and has burned into a wooded area. No structures were damaged and no injuries have been reported. A cause has not yet been determined.
