Crews responded to a fatal house fire in NE OKC Thursday night.

According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, just before 9:20 p.m., crews were called to a home in the 1500 block of NE 29th. Upon arrival, crews reported seeing heavy smoke.

OKCFD says after crews extinguished the blaze, an elderly male was found dead just inside the entryway of the home.

OKCFD also says, according to a neighbor, the home did not have any gas or electric and the homeowner used "alternate forms of energy".

At this time, there's no word yet on what caused the fire. And the victim's name hasn't been released. Investigators remain at the scene.
