James led the way, but seven different OU players scored at least nine points as the Sooners shot an impressive 51.6 percent from the field.

OU wasted no time jumping out to an early lead on the Eagles, but Scott Sutton's group wasn't going to back down without a fight.

OU led 43-27 at intermission, but Oral Roberts opened the second half on a 14-to-7 run that cut OU's lead to double digits as the Sooners struggled to score points. With the Eagles' holding momentum, it was James and Jordan Woodard who took control.

James drew contact and finished around the rim for an and-1 bucket, then Woodard followed with a three-pointer that hit nearly every part of the rim before finally bouncing in. Rashard Odomes then got in on the action with a two-handed slam before adding a layup as the Sooners ripped off a 12-to-0 run to extend their lead to 58-41.

The deficit was too much for the Eagles to claw out of as the Sooners led by as many as 28 points down the stretch.

Woodard finished with 15 points while Odomes added 12 points. Khadeem Lattin was a force in the paint throughout the game and fnished with nine points, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks.

OU will be back in action this Saturday afternoon (3:00 p.m.) against Wichita State.
