Peppermint Grinch Crinkles

  • 1  vanilla cake mix
  • 1 stick Braums' unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup corn starch
  • green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup Andes candies baking pieces
  • red fondant
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl mix together the vanilla cake mix, softened butter, canola oil and eggs.
  4. Add in the food coloring till the desired green is reached.
  5. Stir in the peppermint candies.
  6. In another bowl mix together the powdered sugar and cornstarch.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, place the cookie ball in the powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture.
  8. Roll into a ball and place on the baking sheet.
  9. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  10. While the cookies are cooking roll out the red fondant till it is 1/8 inch thick and then cut out a small heart.
  11. Once the cookies are done cooking place the heart on each of cookies while they cool.
