Police body cameras are up for discussion today in Norman city council chambers.
The community forum will give police a chance to present their plan for the implantation of body-worn cameras.
The meeting is open to the public and meant to address community expectations and questions regarding the use of body-worn cameras. Last week, the Oklahoma City Police Department negotiated an agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police to reimplement a body camera program.
If Norman's purchase agreement is authorized by the city council, 75 body cameras will be ready for use by spring. The meeting is at 6 p.m.
