Lockdown Lifted At Edmond Memorial HS After Police Investigate Reports Of Armed Suspect

Edmond Memorial High School was briefly placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon, as police investigated reports of a man with a gun in the area.

According to police, the school, located at 1000 E. 15th St, Edmond, was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution. 

Bob Mills SkyNews 9 flew over the scene. Pilot Jim Gardner reported that police detained two teenagers near the school.

Police told News 9 those two did not have a gun and that they believe this was a misunderstanding. Police said someone may have mistakenly reported seeing a gun on the two.
