A fired Oklahoma County Deputy accused of first-degree rape pleaded not guilty in court, Wednesday afternoon.

This was the first court appearance for 30-year-old Euitt Sharp, since his arrest and since he was fired from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office.

Sharp kept to himself as he waited to be arraigned on the fifth floor of the Oklahoma County Courthouse. He was soon joined by an attorney and a bondsman who were there with him when he went before the judge.

Sharp was arrested back on Oct. 29, but bonded out of jail.

According to court papers, Sharp stands accused of first-degree rape after a woman came forward to the Oklahoma City police department, claiming he forced himself on her - even after she told him no.

Court papers go on to say Sharp admitted to investigators that he heard her reject his advances, but didn't stop.

Court records show prosecutors with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office had requested for Sharp's bond to be increased to $50,0000 but the judge chose to keep it set at $25,000.

Sharp remains out on that bond Wednesday night. His next court date is set for Dec. 29.
