Kiefer Police said a father found a man standing over his 1-year-old child's crib early Sunday morning, November 27, 2016. The man, Bradley Austin Hill of Glenpool, admitted to police that he planned to take the child, according to Chief of Police Johnny O'Mara.

Chief O'Mara said the father heard noises around 7 a.m. and thought a raccoon might have entered the house.

"He goes into the baby's room and sees a man standing over the crib," O'Mara said.

The chief said the father grabbed Hill and pulled him into another room in the house.

"When we got there, the father had Hill on the ground - he was sitting on him," he said.

Hill was arrested on complaints of first-degree burglary and attempted kidnapping.

"We're still investigating the reason why he was trying to take the child," the chief said. Authorities said Hill is a college student and they found no evidence of him having been arrested.

Hill said he didn't know the family, and they were not familiar with him, O'Mara told News On 6.
