Man Hospitalized After Being Shot In Southside Wal-Mart Parking Lot

Posted: Updated:

One man is in the hospital after being shot in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart at I-240 and Santa Fe.

Police say as the victim was leaving the store, he got into a fight with three people in a white Ford Crown Victoria. One of the people in the car then shot the victim.

The man is in stable condition. Police have not made any arrests yet.

With the biggest shopping day of the year just hours away, store employees say they're not worried for their safety and they don't think it will impact Black Friday shopping for neither them nor their customers.

Tomorrow, they'll have 12 security guards on hand. On a normal day, they have two. For that reason, they feel plenty safe and say so should their customers.

They plan on opening their doors at 6 a.m. tomorrow as scheduled.
