Crashes On WB I-40, EB I-44 Causing A Mess For Traffic In OKC

A pair of crashes is causing a slow go for traffic on two major metro thoroughfares, Wednesday.

The first wreck, a three-vehicle crash, shut down two inside lanes of westbound Interstate 40, near the I-35 junction. At least one person in that wreck was injured. Two vehicles and an oil tanker truck were involved. The crash has caused a large traffic backup on WB I-40. The injury did not appear to be life threatening.

Then a second crash, involving a semi and a car, occurred on eastbound I-44 near NW 10th St. The second crash also caused a closure of two lanes. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the EB I-44 wreck.
