OCSO: Human Remains Found In Harrah

Posted: Updated:
HARRAH, Oklahoma -

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the discovery of human remains in a field in Harrah.

The discovery was made in a field near SE 15th St. and S. Harrah Rd.; a very remote location about two miles to the northwest of the Mabel Bassett Correctional facility. Authorities tell News 9 that a hunter located a skull and a boot at that location and called police.

An anthropologist has confirmed the skull as human. The medical examiner is on scene.

Investigators are now searching a square mile grid in the area for additional remains. An OHP helicopter is also assisting in the search.
